FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Location & Time of Arrival.

The wedding will take place in Alenquer, a town located approximately 45 minutes by car to the north of Lisbon. We kindly request that guests arrive at the Basílica da Meca by 3:00 p.m. for the religious ceremony. After the mass, we will go to Quinta D. Carlos for the reception, dinner and party (a short 2-minute car drive).

For those travelling to Portugal by plane, the Lisbon Airport is the nearest airport. We recommend renting a car to facilitate travel to Alenquer and flexibility on the wedding day as Uber services are unavailable and taxis are limited. There are plenty of parking spaces available both close to the Church as well as in the wedding venue.

 

If you prefer not to rent a car, we suggest taking an Uber from Lisbon to Alenquer and contacting the local taxi landline in Alenquer - +351 937 730 039.

2. Dress Code.

We kindly ask men to wear a dark coloured (black, navy) tailcoat or a suit with tie and recommend a formal attire for women (not white...).

3. After Party.

We want to celebrate this special day with our family and friends until dawn, but we also want our guests to go back safely to their homes. As such, we suggest that you book one of the following options of the 'Drivers' service:

- Pick-up and drop-off service from your hotel to the Church; pick-up from the wedding venue at an agreed time with the Driver's car

- Pick-up from the wedding venue at an agreed time with the Driver's car

- Pick-up from the wedding venue at an agreed time, with the Driver driving your car

4. Gifts.

What we value the most is the presence of each and everyone of you during this special day. However, if you want to contribute to our dream Honeymoon, please refer to the Presentes page for our bank details. We will be going on a two-week trip to Kenya and the Mauritius after our wedding and couldn't be more excited!​
